Sledging

In Tyrol you can also go sledging. All you need is a sledge, an anorak, boots, and snow.

There are many hills where you can go sledging. The most famous hills are situated in Absam, Oberperfuss, Kitzbühel, Zillertal, Kühtai, Stubai, Ischgl, Seefeld, Sölden, St. Anton, St. Christoph, Pitztal, aso.

You have to walk to the peak with your sledge, then you sit down on your sledge, and off you go, sliding down hill. You can steer with the rope. Sledging is very exciting, I can only recommend it to you.

You can also go sledging by night under flood light, which is very romantic.

You can also watch luge races. The racers go down a luge-run, for example in Igls, competing for championship. Luge also is an Olympic discipline.

The best luge racers are: Markus Prock (Austria) and Georg Hackl (Germany).
